Bali is known around the world as a tourism hot spot, but what a lot of people don’t know is away from the bustling towns and bars there are some stunning areas of natural beauty both above and below the surface.

Tulamben – a small fishing village with a stone beach on the north-east coast of Bali, home to the wreck of the USS Liberty. Tulamben is internationally renowned for its dive sites and is prized for its easy diving and amazing biodiversity.
The USS Liberty shipwreck must be one of the easiest wrecks to access in the world, and underwater creatures ranging from the smallest crustaceans, ghost pipefish, and pygmy seahorse to the largest fish like sharks and mola-mola sunfish abound. Tulamben is a great place for beginners, with a number of sites which are suitable for training dives, fun dives and underwater photography.

 Kubu and BOGA WRECK. About 15 minutes to the north by car from Tulamben, you will find this interesting and rarely-dived site. The BOGA Wreck came into the water in 2011. It’s laying in water from around 18 m to about 40 m and is another of many great dives in the region
