This program gives you the skills and experience required to safely lead groups of certified divers, and is the first step towards an exciting career as an SSI Dive Professional without requiring you to complete an instructor program.
Professional Dive Masters can work for SSI Dive Centers, guiding dives in a variety of environments and conditions. You will earn the SSI Dive Master certification after completing this program.
This program comprises of the SSI Dive Guide program and the SSI Science of Diving specialty to graduate as a SSI - Divemaster.
At Dive Swansea, we require a high standard of training at all levels. We take pride in our scuba courses we offer and pride ourselves to be of high value to students and customers to experience a great outcome together . All of our Instructors have a vast variety of global experience as well recreational and Technical training experience so we can pass on our knowledge.
Once completed, you will be teaching and guiding students with indirect supervision as allowed by your certification.
How do you become an SSI Divemaster?
You will have completed the following courses and / or have certified proof of experience, in the areas, listed below. Plus have a minimum of sixty logged dives for completion.
Deep Diver Wreck Diver Nitrox Diver U/W Navigation React Right First Aid Stress and Rescue Diver Night & Limited Visibility
You will require a minimum of sixty dives and forty hours of logged in-water experience to become a SSI Divemaster. We feel this is essential, to set you up for completing the course and to take on the necessary responsibilities, that comes with being known at a professional diver level qualification.
You will also need to have a diving medical- less than twelve months old, signed-off on by a licensed medical practitioner.
